John Denver, a singer-songwriter from Colorado who specialized in folk-pop music has touched the hearts of millions. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, he was in affection with Colorado and later relocated to Aspen. Denver's popular songs about his adopted home state drew many tourists to Colorado. G. Brown of Colorado Music Hall of Fame, the curator of this hall of fame said: "I don't believe there is another performer that embodies Colorado like John Denver." Denver became the one of the first Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. Many consider Denver to be the Colorado image. People you meet in other nations, for instance New Zealanders. They ask them "I come Colorado" and they say "I am from Colorado" and they instantly react with Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Denver's first Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a brief period of performing with small folk music bands comprised of Take Me Home Country Roads composed by Bill Danoff. Danoff initially wrote the song with Johnny Cash's music in mind, but Denver realized from the first time he heard earlier versions that it would be a big success. The track was released just a few weeks after the Washington D.C. performance.
